NESTORE is a companion supported by an ICT-based system that operates into both physical and virtual domains. It relies on several technologies with different maturity levels gathering wearable, voice based technologies, environmental sensors, emotional monitoring systems, serious games, coaching system and more to be "the coach through which I will keep fit and healthy".

Monitoring System

The monitoring system of NESTORE will be developed including multiple devices in order to monitor older persons’ health and behaviours, as unobtrusively as possible.

The Monitoring system design and development will be developed in an iterative way. Prototypes will be available by the end of September 2019.

Decision-Making System

A Decision Support System (DSS) is a software that assists its user in taking optimised decisions, including in complex situations, thanks to a large amount of input variables.

The DSS will be developed iteratively. While a first prototype with a subset of functionality will be in place by Spring 2019, a fully functional DSS will be delivered September 2019.

Virtual Coach

The NESTORE Virtual Coach is the main interface between the users and the whole NESTORE system.

The teams involved in the development of the Coach interface and related apps will start working in December 2017. The final versions of the Coach interface and apps are expected in September 2019 and will be tested in the following year in the pilot sites.

Integration System

The integration activities aim to offer to the NESTORE coach end users a compact system composed of interoperable devices able to work together seamlessly.

The integration activities will follow the development of the NESTORE system components.
