NESTORE presented by Ropardo at ICCD 2019, Sibiu, Romania
This year our partner Ropardo was on call again presenting technological goodies about NESTORE at the International Conference on Applied Informatics. Imagination, Creativity, Design, Development - ICDD, that took place in Sibiu, Romania on 16-17-18 May 2019.
Every year the Faculty of Sciences within Lucian Blaga University of Sibiu organizes the ICDD. This conference is mainly addressed to bachelor and master level students, PhD students and young researchers from all over the world. All the participants are encouraged to exchange and present their research in informatics and related fields with application in the real world and debate on their results.
Two engineers from the Applied Research Department at Ropardo presented what NESTORE’s ambitious objective is: to develop an innovative, multi-dimensional, cross-disciplinary and personalized coaching system that, leveraging ICT social connectivity, will support older adults by encouraging them to become co-producers of their wellness.
It was presented the results of the research (Proof-of-Concept) focused on how universAAL can be used and integrated inside NESTORE system, the pro’s and cons of using universAAL and the solution identified for NESTORE system. The presentation highlighted the use of IoT and how various, heterogeneous technical devices may be connected to a single, unified network.
