Report: NESTORE, a case study to discuss Data Donation at EHTEL Symposium 2019
On 4 December 2019, Itziar de Lecuona in charge of ethics within the NESTORE consortium talked at the EHTEL Symposium 2019 in a panel about Data Donation. Building on the concrete case of NESTORE, she talked about the ethics of algorithms in the field of research and innovation.
On the occasion of a panel on "Sharing in an AI-Friendly Environment: Data Donation and more", NESTORE was mentioned as an example of EU research project about ageing and wellbeing where the convergence of technologies poses ethical, legal and societal aspects. Itziar talked about on the need of assuring pseudonysmisation, among other solutions to comply with the European General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
